Bio

Mi chiamo Davide Rostirolla e sono un fotografo autodidatta e un illustratore italiano (Latina). Mi piace la fotografia outdoor e adoro viaggiare insieme a mia moglie e alla mia macchina fotografica in giro per il mondo (Irlanda, USA, Australia, Islanda …).

Dal 2015 ho iniziato un percorso fotografico in acqua alternando scatti a pellicola con una NIKONOS a scatti in digitale.
Da questo percorso sono nati “Film is not dead” (Nikonos V) e “Into the water”, 2 progetti diversi ma allo stesso tempo legati dal mare, dal surf e dall'ambiente.

Oltre alla fotografia adoro il disegno e l'illustrazione trattando temi legati sempre all'ambiente e al mare.

My name is Davide Rostirolla and i'm a self-taught photographer and illustrator from Italy (Latina). I like outdoor photography and I love to travel with my wife and my camera around the world (Ireland, USA, Australia, Iceland ...).

Since 2015 I started to shoot into the water alternating film and digital cameras. I then developed two parallel projects “Film is not dead” where my favorite tool is an old Nikonos V camera and “Into the water” (with a digital camera).
The two projects are extremely different but, at the same time, strongly connected by three topics that really matter for me: Sea, Surf, Environment and lifestyle.

My other two passions besides photography are sketches and illustrations.
